Email Tips and Tricks!
- Use bullet lists wherever you can, people are busy and you’ll get better results if its easily digested
- Attempt to keep all emails under 3 sentences per idea. If it is longer than this, its probably a good idea to pick up the phone and CALL
- Use “Reply All” in very limited scenarios
- When you’ve taken a longer than expected time to respond to an email, instead of saying “ Sorry for the delay”, instead say “Thank you for your patience”
- If you’re checking for an update from someone instead of stating “Just wanted to check in”, instead say “When can I expect an update”
- Scheduling meeting/throwing out times, instead of writing “What works best for you”- be explicit and state “Could you do…..”
